Submitted by David Key

The Meadowlark Extension District is hosting a Mental Health First Aid for Youth training course at the Highland Community College Holton Center, 430 South Arizona, in Holton, KS on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Mental Health First for Youth is an 8 hour training course that reviews the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health first problems in adolescents, ages 12-18. It emphasizes the importance of early intervention and covers how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. Be prepared just as you learn first aid and CPR, learn how to help in a mental health crisis! The Meadowlark Extension District will host the event meals and the registration fee will be the responsibility of those attending.

For more information and to sign up for the course, contact David Key or Ross Mosteller at the Meadowlark Extension District Office in Seneca by Friday, February 3, 2017. A weather date will be announced at a later date closer to the event.
