Scott County Hosts a Grant Writing Workshop - October 25

Submitted by Nancy Daniels

Looking for money

Grants are a vital piece of your community's funding puzzle. Funders and donors will invest in your project if you can state clearly:

• What is the problem we are trying to solve?
• What change is possible?
• How will our organization produce the desired change?
• How will we know we succeeded?

On October 25, Scott County Extension will hold a grant writing workshop at William Carpenter 4-H Building at the Scott County Fairgrounds, 608 Fairground Road, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is $15 and includes lunch and all materials. Email Carol Ann Crouch at ccrouch@ksu.edu to register.

What you will learn:

a) Sources of data to document community needs,
b) Where to find Grants,
c) Practicing the elements of a great grant proposal,
d) New partners for collaboration, and
e) YOU can do it!
