Volunteers for State Fair
There are still plenty of opportunities to volunteer to represent K-State at the Kansas State Fair!
The Kansas State Fair runs from Friday, September 7, through Sunday, September 16. The College of Agriculture (COE) and K-State Research and Extension (KSRE) will once again have adjacent booths in the Pride of Kansas building at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson. Volunteering is a great opportunity to represent K-State, increase awareness about KSRE, recruit future K-State students, and share your expertise with Fair attendees.
We encourage Program Focus Team (PFTs), plus faculty, staff and students on campus, in area offices, county/district offices, Agronomy Fields, and Research-Extension Centers to sign up to work for a few hours in one or both of the booths. The following spots are still available!
Sunday, September 9 – Crop Production

Monday, September 10 – Family & Child Development
• 6 – 9 p.m.
Tuesday, September 11 – Nutrition, Food Safety, and Health

Wednesday, September 12 – Community Vitality

• 3 – 6 p.m.
Friday, September 14 – Livestock Production
• 9 a.m. - Noon
• 3 – 6 p.m.
• 6 – 9 p.m.
Saturday, September 15 – Family Resource Management
• 9 a.m. - Noon
• Noon - 3 p.m.
• 3 – 6 p.m.
• 6 – 9 p.m.

Entry tickets and instructions will be provided to all volunteers. In addition, this year we will hold two live Zoom sessions on August 21 (10 a.m. and 2 p.m.) to help prepare and provide helpful information about volunteering.
