Biodiesel Distribution Workshop: "From the Biodiesel Plant Gate to the Fuel Filter"
A Biodiesel Workshop will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Manor Conference Center, Capital Plaza Hotel, Topeka, Kansas. The event is open to all that are interested in making, blending, distributing, and using biodiesel.
The main focus of this workshop will be the blending, handling, and storing of biodiesel. Topics to be covered: biodiesel production basics, storing and handling, a biodiesel retailing case study, and a truck fleet biodiesel use case study. There will be active displays related to field testing of biodiesel, an injector pump discussion, and some forward looking production practices. Speakers from REG, MEG Corp, NBB, Emergent Green, and others will be presenting.
There is no charge for attendance, but preregistration is requested. Refreshments and a lunch meal are included. The event is being produced by K-State Extension, KU Biodiesel Initiative, NCK Tech, and Seward County Community College. The Kansas Soybean Commission is the event sponsor.
