The Center for Rural Enterprise Engagement’s (CREE) annual conference will be held February 12-13 at the Alumni Center of Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. The CREE Insight Summit (previously New-Media Marketing Bootcamp) will have a greater emphasis this year on measuring/reporting impact using Facebook analytic data. Topics related to new-media marketing will include storytelling across platforms, basic and advanced analytics, social-media strategy, visual content, e-newsletters, and selling online. Featured speakers will share results of cutting-edge research related to new media.

While the CREE Insight Summit is geared toward agricultural producers, particularly those directly selling to consumers, content will be relevant to a variety of audiences associated with enhancing rural life, including Extension agents. This year, Extension Administration has generously made five full scholarships available to Extension employees. To apply, email to newmedia@ksu.edu with your name, area of expertise/appointment, Program Focus Team, county/district, and a paragraph (no more than 200 words) telling us why attending the Insight Summit will be beneficial to your role. Scholarship applications are due this Friday, December 21, to be fully considered. Recipients will be notified by December 27, in time to take advantage of the early-bird registration rate. No other special rates will be provided for Extension at this event.
