Travel Reimbursement--Which Rates Do I Use?

Submitted by Jennifer R Wilson

Meal and Incidental Calculator

We've received several questions lately about which figures from the Meals and Incidentals Calculator should be used when figuring per diem rates. KSRE employees should use the figures in the MI&E Total column in the Meals and Incidentals Breakdown chart. (see graphic) The State of Kansas does not use the individual meal breakdown or the First & Last Day of Travel figures.

The figure from the MI&E Total column should be transferred to the Meals and Incidentals Calculator located on the Employee Resources Travel website. A separate instructional document is also located on this page.
