Huck Boyd Institute to Celebrate 30th Year, Honor Senator Pat Roberts
On August 19, 2020 at 4 p.m., K-State’s Huck Boyd National Institute for Rural Development will host a virtual event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Institute. At that time, the Institute will present Senator Pat Roberts with a lifetime achievement award for service to rural America.
The Huck Boyd Institute opened its doors on the Manhattan campus in April 1990. It now operates as part of the KSRE Community Vitality team. Senator Roberts is retiring from Congress after 39 years of representing Kansas. The Senator is expected to make remarks via Zoom from Washington DC.
