Virtual Dining with Diabetes Coming Soon!
Gayle Price, Sara Sawer and Barbara Ames are the team responsible for bringing the virtual adaptation of the Dining with Diabetes to K-State Research & Extension. The anticipated launch date is late fall 2020. They have worked hard to “answer the call” of taking this face-to-face signature program series to a virtual format. Their efforts were even more focused and concentrated during our “work from home” due to COVID-19. They illustrated true teamwork within KSRE by involving the expertise of many other Extension professionals who assisted with food demonstrations, recipe editing and more. They also incorporated other trusted entities by including educational videos into the modules to provide a broad platform of resources to enhance participant learning.
Thanks to the Dining with Diabetes Virtual Course team for leading the "charge" and expanding the reach in our communities with diabetes education.
