K-State Football’s Celebrate Ag Day
If 2020 and the COVID-19 challenge have taught us anything, it is that things will not go as perfectly as planned. I wish I did not have to send this communication.
I met with our K-State Sports colleagues last week. Due to seating limitations brought on by our COVID-19 challenge, our Willie’s Farm Families recognition winners will receive the following communication from K-State Sports on Friday, September 4:
“All,
With continued local health guidance and stadium capacity restrictions, we will be unable to offer tickets or an in-person game day experience for the Celebrate Ag Farm Family recognition originally scheduled at Bill Snyder Family Stadium this fall. We will be doing all of our game celebrations differently this year and will reach out to you in the coming weeks with opportunities on how you may be represented during the game. We will provide additional updates at a later date regarding the Celebrate Ag Day – including the 2021 fall celebration to which you will all be invited.
As always, the K-State Family supports you. We appreciate all that you do and all the hard work you have put in, as we know these are difficult times. We hope to host you at Bill Snyder Family Stadium next season.”
We are giving this “heads up” as a forewarning to you. Please let K-State Sports deliver the message to the Celebrate Ag Day families.
Please also note that Celebrate Ag Day will still be a game day theme this year. As you can tell from the message, there are alternative activities and action steps for Celebrate Ag Day and the Celebrate Ag Day Family nominees that are being discussed. Such activities may include video activities, Zoom meetings, and game day ticket “rain checks.” Our Communications Solutions group and I will be involved in those discussions.
You will learn more as our plans for our Celebrate Ag Day are finalized, so please stay tuned.
