Achieving the Extension Mission Through Volunteers - Professional Development Opportunity –

Submitted by Shane Potter

Achieving the Extension Mission Through Volunteers, is an online cohort course designed to build staff and organizational capacity around volunteer management and development. The course targets Extension professionals across all subject matter areas who work with volunteers to enhance and deliver Extension programs. Last year colleagues from each program area participated. Read the Impact this course is having on colleagues across the country.

Registration opens September 15. With a limited number of spots available, interested staff members are encouraged to register early to be included in this learning experience designed to enhance staff success in all aspects of volunteer management. During the seven-week period, participants will engage in pre-recorded sessions; readings; activities and three live webinars. Staff will also develop connections with colleagues from other states as they share ideas, provide feedback on volunteer management concepts and explore strategies to meet the needs of new volunteers.

The course cost is $250. Staff members in the North Central Region are eligible for registration at a reduced cost of $100. Colleagues must use the code NCRVS.
