Shout Out: Kansas Forest Service Staff
This is a Shout Out to the Kansas Forest Service staff who support the growing, care, marketing, advice, planning, sales, and shipping efforts that go into the recently concluded Fall Containerized Seedling sales.
In order to allow for needed maintenance to more easily take place the staff hoped to completely sell out of inventory. When the books closed on the 6-week fall sales season, over 35,000 seedlings had been sold! The goal to sell out was essentially reached!
While an accomplishment in any year, meeting this goal with limited on-site staffing and with the process for our field foresters to provide guidance on tree plantings also having to adapt to the keep our staff and landowners safe, this was a particularly impressive accomplishment of adaptability and team work.
