New Agriculture and Natural Resources Program Leader Coordinator Announced
First, I would like to thank Robin Reid for her service as Agriculture and Natural Resources Program Leader Coordinator. Robin has completed her two-year term and was instrumental in working with the PFT and Interdisciplinary Teams to move Extension programming forward.
The Agriculture and Natural Resources Program Leader Coordinator application announcement was posted in the September 22nd KSRE Tuesday Letter. Applications were reviewed by the Program Leaders Coordinators group, Robin Reid, Agriculture and Natural Resources; Trudy Rice, Community Vitality; Wade Weber, 4-H; Gayle Price, Family and Consumer Sciences; along with Laurie Chandler, Associate Program Leader; and me. Candidates were selected and interviews were conducted during October.
I am pleased to announce that our new Agriculture and Natural Resources Program Leader Coordinator is Dr. Cheryl Boyer, Associate Professor for Nursery Crop Production and Marketing, Department of Horticulture & Natural Resources. Dr. Boyer brings a wealth of Extension experience, and is a team-oriented professional who strives to build effective programming teams. Dr. Boyer has a keen interest in program innovation through the use of digital engagement tools and training to reach new and old audiences.
I am pleased to welcome Dr. Boyer to the Program Leader Coordinator Team.
