KSRE Extension Professionals Participating in 2022 NELD-North Central

Submitted by Laurie Chandler

Congratulations to Jonathan Aguilar, Water Resources Extension Specialist; Jessica Kootz, Midway Extension District Director; Patsy Maddy, Twin Creeks District 4-H Youth Development Agent; and Candis Meerpohl, Shawnee County Extension Director; for their selection as 2022 National Extension Leadership Development - North Central (NELD-NC) participants.

The mission of NELD-NC is to build leaders in Cooperative Extension at all levels and provide them with the vision, courage and tools to lead in a changing world. NELD 2022, led this year by the University of Missouri Extension, will use a hybrid approach of delivery, giving participants a rich high tech/high touch experience. It will include:

  • Virtual workshops will be used for direct instruction and will occur on the Thursday and Friday the week before the in-person sessions.
  • Three in-person sessions will incorporate more experiential learning.

Including the 2022 delegates, 78 K-State Research and Extension faculty have participated in NELD-NC. If you are interested in future classes or would like learn more about the program, visit the NC NELD website, or contact Laurie Chandler at 785-532-3066, lchandle@ksu.edu.
