Attention ALL KSRE Employees

So valuable, we’d like to invest in you with high-quality professional development training from the Kansas Leadership Center (KLC).
Whether you are an office professional, program assistant, agent, researcher, teacher or specialist, your contact with our consumers and other professionals is an opportunity for leadership. Leadership is an activity, not a position.
This year, K-State Research and Extension has 60 slots of training for KLC’s highly acclaimed 3-step Leadership Path, that’s 50% more slots than we’ve had in the past. If you are a KSRE employee, please consider this opportunity.
Today we’ll focus on Step 1: Your Leadership Edge. The training is offered both online and in-person through 2022. The training is free; books and travel are at your office’s expense. The next virtual training is May 4-5; in-person events are in Wichita starting July 13-14. Register early, these classes will fill. In-person events have a smaller enrollment than pre-pandemic classes, to allow for greater distance between participants.
Step 1: Your Leadership Edge: Your Leadership Edge is the foundational training that introduces core concepts in KLC’s powerful leadership framework. Discover new ways to communicate, solve problems and lead more effectively back in your context. Sharpen interpersonal skills, self-awareness, and confidence with others. Your Leadership Edge helps you find, test and push to the edge of your comfort zone.
Once you complete Your Leadership Edge, you are invited to participate in the next training, “Lead for Change.” You may take one, two or three trainings per year, depending on your local office’s approval. We expect KLC training to be available next year too.
