Local 4-H Record Keeping and Project Awards
With the completion of regional 4-H project award evaluations across the state, now is a good time to make sure your active 4-H members have started keeping records for the current 4-H program year. Not sure where to start? Here are a few suggestions:
- Goal setting is often a good starting place, so please encourage them to utlize the Kansas 4-H Goal Setting Worksheet. Club and Project Leader volunteers can also help reinforce the importance of writing good goals.
- Refer your 4-H'ers and families to the resources available. Several helpful forms and videos are available here, including the Guide to Kansas 4-H Project Recognition. Many families have found ZBooks to be very user friendly. Specific ZBook resources are located here.
- New to Kansas 4-H or need a refresher? Staff resources are available here, which include recorded webinars, as well as PPT slides for you to teach your local families.
