Shout Out: Deborah Kohl

Submitted by Gregg Hadley

The Shout Out this week comes from Amanda Lindahl, Local Food System Program Coordinator, and is sent for Deborah Kohl, Community Vitality State Specialist. Amanda writes:

"I want to send a Shout Out to Deborah Kohl, Community Vitality State Specialist, for supporting our Local Food Systems Program Team in many capacities this fall.

She jumped in to facilitate a gathering with many partners across the state as we worked to create a statewide Farm to School Strategic Plan. She was pivotal in guiding our conversations and quick to adapt during the day of the event.

Deborah is also a key partner as we organize and host 12 in-person community roundtable events across the state during the month of November, in addition to four virtual roundtable events. We look forward to meeting with local food systems participants and advocates and we couldn’t do the work without her facilitation support.

Thank you, Deborah, for all your organizing efforts and superb facilitation skills."

Deborah, thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Research and Extension.

If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve recognition for a job well done, why not nominate them for a Shout Out. Simply send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ksreshoutout@ksu.edu.
