A KSU Community Development Resource For Your Community

Does your town have blighted property that looks too scary to buy or repurpose? KSU's Technical Assistance to Brownfields (TAB) program can help.

The January 5 First Friday e-Call featured a presentation by Senior KSU TAB Director Maggie Belanger. The definition of a brownfield is much broader than "having known environmental hazards." If environmental concerns limit redevelopment because property owners, potential new buyers, banks, and municipalities worry about possible costs and liabilities, check with KSU's TAB program. Two Kansas cities were highlighted for their work with TAB: Blue Rapids and Beloit.

The recording of the call and presentation deck are available online. To register for future calls, https://ksre-learn.com/ecall.
