New Website Hard Launch Phase
The new K-State Research and Extension website design is ready for its public debut.
During the soft launch, we held off on public announcements while webpages were completed, links were triple checked and fillable forms were tested. After careful review, we are ready to enter the hard launch phase.
So what does that mean? Throughout the upcoming weeks, we will be sharing about the new website on social media. We want to make a big splash with this announcement, so please share the news with your external audiences too.
You can share posts from KSRE social media pages, or you can create your own. Either way, we'd love to see everyone talking about the updated website. Feel free to use these talking points if you need help putting together an announcement:
- The new design is mobile responsive making it easier for users on tablets and mobile devices to explore the site.
- It also features an updated navigation so users can find information more quickly.
- Programming landing pages have been updated with the newest, most relevant information to help users easily find what they're looking for.
As for local unit website transitions, we are working closely with the Web Services Department on a coordinated effort. Until then, we recommend going through your current website and conducting a "Spring cleaning." This can look like getting rid of old documents/pdfs, updating missing links and updating information where necessary.
