Accommodations Process
As we begin the new 4-H year, I wanted to give a quick reminder regarding the accommodations process. If you go to https://www.ksre.k-state.edu/employee_resources/dei/access.html, this website outlines the process and also provides the statement that should appear on all event registration materials and program announcements.
Under The Accommodations Request Process, you will find the Reasonable Accommodations Request Form button. This is where you will complete the information for your 4-H family or assist them in completing the online form. KSRE requests that this form be submitted no later than four weeks prior to the event or activity.
Typically, this process is completed for one particular educational experience. However, sometimes there is an accommodation that is ongoing and applicable throughout the year. If you know of a 4-H member who has an ongoing accommodation, we ask that this process be completed at the beginning of the 4-H year. It allows for a review of the current accommodation and helps ensure it is still serving the needs of the individual.
