At some point almost all of us will need to seek healthcare to improve our health. When we do need to, access to timely, high-quality health care services is important.
K-State supports Kansans with education and resources as they plan for and make decisions about health insurance and paying for prescription drugs.
A Community Health Worker (CHW) helps people and communities by providing health information and encouraging self-sufficiency. These public health workers create connections to make it easier for people to find health care and to improve the delivery of services. Kansas State University is a member of the Kansas Community Health Worker Coalition, supporting leadership for the organization, and helping to train instructors.
