Six Kansas 4-H Teens Approved to Represent Kansas on 4-H Exchanges
At the 2025 State Outbound Interviews and First Orientation held November 24, 2024, six teenagers were approved to represent Kansas 4-H in Costa Rica and Japan next summer. Kansas 4-H partners with States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs to conduct exchanges with organizations in several countries with youth programs similar to 4-H. Applications for the Kansans were due at the National Office December 15, with acceptance letters due by January 15. Those accepted to represent Kansas, their exchange program, Extension County or District, and program dates are as follows:
Ariana Baltazor, Costa Rica 4-S Exchange, Central Kansas District, June 20-July 19
Zane Betzold, Japan 8-Week Exchange, River Valley District, June 12-August 9
Sierra McCoy, Japan 8-Week Exchange, Pottawatomie County, July 10-August 9
Zabel Collins, Japan 4-Week Exchange, Pottawatomie County, July 10-August 9
Austin Maycumber, Japan 4-Week Exchange, Southwind District, July 10-August 9
Landon Wisbey, Japan 4-Week Exchange, Central Kansas District, July 10-August 9
Further orientation and preparation will involve these teens this winter and spring.
