Call for Annual Conference Awards
We often hear inspiring stories about the exceptional work our colleagues are doing across campus and throughout the state, and now it's time for us to shine a light on those accomplishments. I am excited to announce the call for nominations for awards, which will be presented at the K-State Extension and Engagement Annual Conference in October.
These awards are a testament to the hard work, innovation, and significant impact our colleagues have on extension and engagement efforts. I wholeheartedly encourage each of you to think about the remarkable achievements of your peers and take the time to nominate them for these awards. A nomination is not just a formality; it's an opportunity to publicly acknowledge the dedication and passion our colleagues exhibit every day. If you feel your contributions deserve recognition, don’t hesitate to self-nominate as well.
Celebrating our peers through nominations is a powerful way to reinforce a culture of excellence and motivation within our community. By highlighting their achievements, we ignite inspiration and encourage ongoing growth. Remember, recognition can fuel further innovation and commitment, creating a ripple effect that benefits us all.
This year, there are fourteen award categories, including the newly introduced Extension Engagement Award, which will honor initiatives that exemplify innovative and sustained efforts in community engagement, making a positive impact on both university and community partners.
To submit a nomination, please visit the Annual Conference Awards website. The deadline for nominations is August 15, so let's act quickly to ensure we acknowledge the extraordinary individuals who have made lasting contributions to our organization and beyond.
Together, we can celebrate the outstanding achievements of our colleagues and uplift our community. Thank you for your dedication to excellence—I can’t wait to see the incredible talent that emerges through your nominations!
