Regional Director Search Updates
Brantley accepts South Region Extension Director
Dr. Jennifer Brantley will begin her new duties as South Region Director the beginning of August, 2025. She currently serves as the local unit extension director for the Sedgwick County Extension Office, where she has been since January, 2019. She was recognized in 2024 as the Local Extension Unit Director of the Year. This is a significant accomplishment for running the largest staffed local Extension office in the state.
Dr. Brantley has additional valuable leadership experience with the Envision Foundation as the Public Education and Outreach Manager, Assistant Director for Standardized Patient Center KU School of Medicine, and Assistant Director of Employee Relations at Career Employment Services at Kansas State University. Prior to that she spent time as a teacher and worked as a technician in technology fields.
Jennifer has developed multiple organizational partnerships over the years resulting in multiple recognition awards like Director of Local Extension Unit of the Year, Wichita Business Journal Women in Business Awardee and Hero Awardee for Community Outreach. Additionally, she has been recognized through the Wichita Health Alliance for her contributions.
We are excited for Jennifer to join the Field Operations team and work with agents, specialists, and administration, bringing her diverse set of skills and experiences for the benefit of the overall Kansas State Extension system.
I’m sure she would appreciate a welcoming message, so please reach out to her at brantley@ksu.edu, if you have a minute.
