October Water Wednesday Will Highlight Engagement Opportunities
The Kansas Water Institute will lead an interactive conversation about expanding K-State’s research and engagement on the topic of water at this month’s Water Wednesday lunch on October 22, from noon to 1:00 pm, in the Cottonwood Room of the Student Union.
As part of this year’s Extension and Engagement Week, this luncheon will focus on creating meaningful connections between extension professionals and K-State faculty, with activities centered around collaborative teaching, grant opportunities, and other professional engagements.
“This month’s Water Wednesday is a unique opportunity for faculty and extension professionals to meet face to face, and often for the first time. It offers everyone a chance to discover shared goals and to begin planning future projects that address water resource challenges in Kansas,” said Susan Metzger, director of the Kansas Water Institute.
Because space is limited, interested individuals must RSVP online by October 15. All K-State faculty, staff, and extension professionals are welcome, regardless of their participation in the KSRE Annual Conference. A complimentary lunch will be provided.
The Kansas Water Institute hosts Water Wednesday events each month, aiming to facilitate meaningful exchanges and showcase impactful research. The full Water Wednesday schedule is available on the Kansas Water Institute website. To request additional information, contact water@ksu.edu.
