Shout Out: Irma Rosas
This week the Shout Out is from Lisa Ross, State Coordinator, Kansas EFNEP; and is sent for Irma Rosas, Sedgwick County EFNEP Nutrition Educator. Lisa writes:
"I would like to give a Shout Out to recognize Irma Rosas, Sedgwick County EFNEP Nutrition Educator, for receiving the Habitat for Humanity 2025 Mission Principle Award.
Irma has built a strong partnership with Habitat for Humanity to support individuals working toward homeownership while promoting healthier lifestyles. Through her nutrition education classes, she not only teaches practical skills for healthy living but also shares information about Habitat for Humanity and the application process with participants who express interest in owning their own home.
Her ability to foster trust and meaningful relationships has also led to a unique honor of being invited to the dedication ceremonies of participants’ new homes. Irma’s commitment to her community creates lasting impact and exemplifies the mission of EFNEP and Extension.
Congratulations, Irma, on this well-deserved recognition!"
Irma -- thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Extension.
