Curtis R. Thompson, Agronomy State Extension Leader, to Retire After 25 Years at K-State

Curtis Thompson’s last day of employment at K-State will be July 18, 2018. He has 25 years of professional service to K-State, The College of Agriculture, and KSRE and 40 years in the work force. Thompson began his tenure with K-State at the Southwest Research Extension Center in Garden City as Assistant Professor and the Crops and Soils Extension Specialist responsible for agronomic programing in southwest Kansas. Thompson has served as the State Extension Leader for the Agronomy Department since July 2012.

A retirement coffee is planned for Wednesday, July 18, from 3 to 4 p.m. in Room 2002, Throckmorton Hall, at Kansas State University. Please RSVP to Brittany Green, bdgreen@ksu.edu.

An informal gathering for food, beverage, and conversation will be held at the Thompson residence, 5811 Edgewater Rd, Wamego KS. This event will begin Wednesday, July 18, at 6:30 pm.
