Best Management Practices for 4-H Programming in a District

A team of 4-H Youth Development agents serving in districts across the state, recently revised the Best Management Practices for 4-H Programming in a District document. Even though each district functions a bit differently, this tool can be used as a guide for local discussions. Counties that are considering forming a district may use it as they plan for future 4-H programming efforts.

The document can be found at https://www.kansas4-h.org/resources/4-h-library/4-h-in-districts/index.html.

4-H Problem Solving Flow Chart

The purpose of the flow chart is to help streamline communication practices specific to the 4-H Youth Development program. Any staff or volunteer could be the initial point of contact in a conflict. However, the 4-H Youth Development Agent needs to be included in communication at every level. This ensures that proper Youth Development policies and practices are followed. This flow chart was developed by a team of 4-H Youth Development agents serving in districts across the state.

The chart can be found under staff downloads: https://www.kansas4-h.org/staff-downloads/resources/index.html.
