Shout Out: Alicia Boor
This week's Shout Out comes from Shannon Rogge, program coordinator in the Department of 4-H Youth Development and is directed to Alicia Boor, Ag and Natural Resources Agent in the Cottonwood District. Shannon wrote:
"I want to give a 'shout out' to Alicia Boor in Cottonwood District. As our committee was deciding to cancel 4-H Wheat Expo, the two of us discussed creating a virtual tour as well as interviewing professionals on campus. As I have been tackling challenges associated with State Fair and 4-H Shooting Sports, she has taken the lead. Using her connections as an Ag Agent, she set up a full day of video recording on Wednesday (12th) with Kansas Wheat Innovation Center and KSRE professionals on campus. Without her work making contacts and appointments, this wouldn’t be possible. It will not only be the first in a series of projects that will include videos available for blended learning, but also the beginning of a career exploration project within our STEM & Ag project areas.
We’re both excited to have a little fun and record a few videos!"
Alicia, thanks for all you do for the people we serve, your colleagues, and K-State Research and Extension.
If you have a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve a Shout Out, please send their names(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ghadley@ksu.edu.
