KSRE Nutrition Programs Will be Featured During the Dec. 7 Kansas CHW (Community Health Worker) Coalition Meeting
Community Health Workers (CHWs) are recognized as vital links between clients and health providers. Including CHWs in health care delivery teams leads to cost-effective services and improved health outcomes. The Community Health Worker (CHW) workforce is growing in Kansas, and a team of KSRE specialists are contributing to that growth as instructors of the KS/MO CHW teaching team. Lisa Ross and Tandy Rundus are members of that team, and their work will be featured during the online Kansas CHW Coalition quarterly meeting on Tuesday, December 7, 1-3 p.m. Along with an overview of SNAP-Ed and EFNEP programs, Lisa and Tandy will discuss how CHWs can connect to K-State Extension community health programming.
