Submitted by Kerri Ebert

March 15 is the deadline to submit an abstract for "Building Coalitions for a Changing World,” the 2022 Urban Food Systems Symposium (UFSS), September 26-29, at Hotel Kansas City in Kansas City, Missouri.

If you’ve got a project with a symposium-relevant focus (such as climate change and environmental aspects of urban agriculture, urban food production systems, challenges of growing in urban areas, community and economic development issues, food safety and food security) please consider submitting an abstract at https://urbanfoodsystemssymposium.org/call-for-abstracts.

Conference registration opens April 1. “Early bird" rates of $375 or $225 for students will be available until 5 p.m., May 31. After May 31, registration will be $425 or $275 for students, respectively.

Learn more about the event at https://urbanfoodsystemssymposium.org/. The UFSS Planning Committee has a limited number of travel scholarships available to Extension professionals. Contact Londa Nwadike, lnwadike@ksu.edu, for more information about scholarships.
