Rock Springs Ranch Leadership Update

Submitted by Maria Childs

Rock Springs Ranch Executive Director Jim Wheaton has accepted a new opportunity leading a large camp and retreat center in Missouri. While we are sad to lose their leadership, I am excited for Jim and his wife, Sheri, as this will allow them to move closer to family and it returns Jim to his camp and retreat roots.

As you are aware, Kansas 4-H Camp registration is well underway, and with the leadership of Camp Co-Directors Letha and Jared Causby, we will continue to move full speed ahead. Our entire team at Rock Springs is talented, prepared, and ready to deliver the life-changing experiences that camp provides to Kansas youth. Camp-related questions can continue to be directed to Letha, lcausby@rockspringsranch.org; or Jared, jcausby@rockspringsranch.org.

The entire team is working hard to prepare for this summer and with three months to go, we are moving rapidly and excitedly toward camp season. We appreciate your continued support in sharing camp information with Kansas youth and their families and encouraging their registration as soon as possible. Some camp sessions are filling up!

More information on future leadership at Rock Springs Ranch will come, and in the interim, I will be expanding my responsibilities to provide direct leadership for RSR through summer camp season. Expect to hear from us often as we look forward to an incredible Camp 2022! --Jake Worcester, President/CEO - Kansas 4-H Foundation
