Kansas Youth Leadership Forum Seeks Workshop Proposals

Submitted by Beth Hinshaw

The Kansas Youth Leadership Forum (KYLF) will be held November 19-20, 2022 at Rock Springs 4-H Center. KYLF is for youth ages 14-18 before January 1, 2023. KYLF will feature leadership workshops, Youth Council Elections, and opportunities to learn and have fun.

We are recruiting proposals for workshops. The Youth Council hopes you will be interested in sharing your expertise and talents through this opportunity. Workshops will be offered in three sessions on Saturday, November 19, 1 - 2 p.m. (session #1), 2:10 - 3:10 p.m. (session #2), and 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. (session #3). Topics should center on leadership. Kansas 4-H focuses on Agriculture, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, Healthy Living and Community Vitality. Some ideas to apply to those areas might include, but are not limited to, citizenship, character, communication, conflict management, ethics, motivation, initiatives, decision making, leading by example, time management, using your resources, leadership after high school, career preparation, getting involved, international citizenship, diversity, professionalism and business etiquette.

We are particularly looking for new and exciting lessons to give KYLF a fresh workshop selection. See the Presenter Informational Letter here. All workshop proposals must be made online at this link, deadline August 1, 2022.
