Kansas 4-H Policy Revision
Please be aware that a small committee has been formed to update and improve our current Kansas 4-H Policy. Dr. Sarah Maass, State 4-H Program Leader, has asked that we have an updated policy by September 1, so that the KSRE system has a chance to review it prior to the start of the new 4-H year on October 1, 2023. Committee members include:
- Janet Harkness, 4-H Youth Development Agent, West Plains District
- Karla Hightower, 4-H Youth Development Agent, Marias Des Cygnes District
- Chandra Plate, 4-H Youth Development Extension Specialist, Northwest
- Amy Sollock, 4-H Youth Development Extension Specialist, Southwest
- McKenzie Zimmerman, Program Coordinator, State 4-H Office
This revision will focus on strengthening and clarifying current policy. As part of this revision, we will also be incorporating other “stand-alone policies,” such as the co-wordmark, volunteer screening and shooting sports into one, comprehensive Kansas 4-H policy document. We will be asking KSRE professionals to provide input on current policy sections that are in need of further clarification as well as gaps. Please know that your input will be very valuable to the process. Thank you in advance for your input!
