Shout Out: Michele Hennes

Submitted by Gregg Hadley

This Shout Out comes from Cade Rensink, Central Kansas District Director, and is sent for Michele Hennes, Central Kansas District office professional. Cade writes:

"I’d like to send a Shout Out to Michele Hennes, Central Kansas District office professional. At one time or another, we’ve probably all heard someone say “that’s not my job” when tasked with something not outlined in their job description. One person I can promise you I’ve never heard this from is Michele.

Michele is willing (and able) to take on almost anything thrown her way. One particular task several years ago was for her to experiment with Qualtrics for use in the district. Since then, we have extensively utilized her Qualtrics expertise for program assessment, event registration and developing other tools.

Today, Michele has honed a valuable skillset which has reached well beyond our district. Through word of mouth, Michele has been approached about sharing her talents outside of the district by mentoring other office professionals and offering technical assistance to KSRE Annual Conference, Kansas 4-H, KACAA and several state specialists – just to name a few. Rather than replying “no, that’s not my job,” she has eagerly asked for approval to help with each and every one.

Michele enthusiastically does whatever she can to help strengthen our district and KSRE as a whole."

Michele, thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Research and Extension.

If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve recognition for a job well done, why not nominate them for a Shout Out. Simply send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ksreshoutout@ksu.edu. Also, it would be very helpful if you would put "Shout Out" in the subject line of the email.
