Animal Science Updates Scheduled for October 7 & 9
All interested agents are invited to attend one of two Animal Science Extension updates either October 7 in Emporia or October 9 in Hays. Programs differ slightly so please review the agenda's in TEAMS.
Please RSVP by October 1 to Katie Smith, katiesmith@ksu.edu, for the Emporia site and by October 2 to Aubrey Stover, arstover@ksu.edu, for the Hays site.
Topics common to both sites are a swine industry update, goat parasites 101 and feeding higher concentrate diets in low grain price times.
At Emporia, the afternoon will be spent with Molly Reichenborn, new range specialist on pasture evaluation and plant ID.
The afternoon session in Hays will include a pasture tour, information on a feedlot intake regulation project and body condition scoring practice.
