Welcome Dr. Grace Yang to the Kansas 4-H State Team!

Submitted by Sarah E. Maass

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Grace Yang will be joining the Kansas 4-H Youth Development State Team as the new 4-H Engineering and Technology Specialist, beginning Monday, September 29.

Dr. Yang brings a rich background in engineering, physics, and education, along with a passion for making complex STEM concepts engaging and accessible for youth, volunteers, and professionals alike. Her approach to teaching engineering and technology is both interactive and fun — a perfect fit for Kansas 4-H!

Prior to joining Kansas State University, Dr. Yang served as a physics instructor and math instructor at the College of Eastern Idaho. She holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in physics from Liaoning University in China, and earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

You can reach Dr. Yang at graceyang@ksu.edu or by phone at the State 4-H Office: 785-532-5800. Her office is located in 205 Umberger Hall — please feel free to drop her a note or give her a warm welcome!
