Shout Out: Pam Van Horn
This week’s Shout Out comes from 4-H Youth Development Specialist Diane Mack and is being sent to 4-H Youth Development Specialist Pam Van Horn. Diane writes:
“I'd like to give a Shout Out to Pam Van Horn, 4-H Youth Development Specialist, as she prepares for retirement. We’d like to thank her for sharing her passion and dedication to positive 4-H Youth Development. During her 37 year career, Pam touched many lives and made an impact with programming efforts at the local, state and national level. Pam has many connections nationally and across Kansas.
Pam served as president of the National Association of 4-H Agents from 2013 to 2014. She is one of four Kansas Extension professionals to serve in this capacity.
Pam serves on the National 4-H Hall of Fame Task Force and has done so since 2004. The National Hall of Fame, established in 2002, is a project of NAE4-HA who partners with National 4-H Council and 4-H Youth Development, USDA. She has been instrumental in helping 17 Kansans become National 4-H Hall of Fame honorees.
Pam’s leadership and programming impact will continue to lead Kansas 4-H into a bright future.
Thank you Pam for all you have done for youth, volunteers, staff and K-State Research and Extension! Best wishes as you begin this new chapter in your life.”
Pam, thanks for all you have done in your career as an Extension professional. You and your impact will be missed!
