Shout Out: K-State Research and Extension Butler County’s Charlene Miller

Submitted by Gregg Hadley

This week's Shout Out comes to us from Andrea Perry, K-State Research and Extension Butler County. She is sending the Shout Out to her director, Charlene Miller. Andrea wrote:

“I was hoping I could do a little shout out for my county director, Charlene Miller. She is always going above and beyond to help people in our community, and no matter how busy she is, she always makes time to help others and be a blessing to someone in need. She always tries to fly under the radar with her good deeds, but I feel like she deserves some recognition for how much she truly does.

No matter what happens, Charlene always rises to the occasion, and I think that has been really obvious over this difficult year. She solves problems and shares information in a way that makes all parties feel included, empowered and valued. Whether it’s teaching and sharing her knowledge with others, being someone’s ear to listen, or showing compassion to someone when it’s needed the most - she is a model leader in our office and in our community - leading others by example with care and compassion. Her commitment to our team and lifting up others for their successes is an inspiration. It's truly a pleasure to work with someone who is so dedicated to her staff and community.”

Charlene, thanks for all you do for the people we serve, your colleagues, and K-State Research and Extension!

If you know of a colleague or colleagues that deserve to be recognized for doing great work or going above and beyond the call of duty, why not give them a Shout Out? Simply send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ghadley@ksu.edu. When emailing your nomination to me, please put “Shout Out” in the subject line of the email.
