Kansas Agricultural Mediation Services Welcomes Kay Prather

Submitted by Rick Peterson

KSRE Extension Programs would like to introduce Kay Prather as the new Program Coordinator for Kansas Agricultural Mediation Services (KAMS). Kay is an approved mediator and licensed attorney in both Kansas and Nebraska as well as a partner with her husband running a fourth-generation family farm operation in rural Jewell and Mitchell Counties. She received her B.S. in Agriculture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1992, and her J.D. from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa in 1994. Kay may be reached at kprather@ksu.edu.

KAMS provides a service to any Kansas resident who needs assistance in resolving agriculturally-related issues. The university-based organization is under the umbrella of Extension Programs and is the USDA Certified State Agricultural Mediation provider for Kansas. To learn more, visit the KAMS website at www.ksre.ksu.edu/kams or call 532-6958. --Rick Peterson, Associate Director for Extension Programs
