KSRE Extension Professionals Participating in 2025 NELD

Submitted by Laurie Chandler

Congratulations to Jennifer Carr, Harper County Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent, Kaitlyn Peine, Douglas County Community and Wellness Agent, and Will Morris, Wildcat District 4-H Youth Development Agent for their selection as 2025 North Central Extension Leadership Development (NELD) participants.

The mission of NELD is to build leaders in Cooperative Extension at all levels and provide them with the vision, courage and tools to lead in a changing world. NELD 2025, led this year by the University of Missouri Extension, will use a hybrid approach of delivery, giving participants a rich high tech/high touch experience. It will include three virtual workshops and three in-person sessions for experiential learning.

Since the program started in 1992, 85 K-State Research and Extension faculty have participated in NELD with 37 currently serving as extension professionals. If you are interested in future classes or would like to learn more about the program, visit the NELD website, or contact Laurie Chandler at lchandle@ksu.edu.
