National Health Outreach Conference

Submitted by Elizabeth Kiss

The National Health Outreach Conference will take place May 2 - 4, 2107 at the Loews Hotel- Annapolis, MD. The conference offers a combination of workshops, seminars, research updates, theoretical perspectives, and thought-provoking dialogue to fully engage participants in the dynamic and complex world of health. Using the Social Ecological Model as our framework, the following five conference tracks offer the opportunity for participants to gain new perspectives on the multifaceted nature of our society, and how each sector influences health: a) individual and family; b) organizational health; c) community health; d) environmental health and safety; and, e) health policy and systems change. Additionally, pre-conference workshops are available to train educators in conducting Walking Audits of Community or How to be a More Cultural Competent Educator.

Conference registration includes all regular sessions, plenary speakers and most meals. Early bird registration ends March 31, 2017. Regular registration runs from April 1 - April 27. Space is limited so register now to take advantage of this networking and education opportunity.
