You@KSU Platform Launches to Provide Well-Being Resources for All K-Staters

Submitted by Jennifer Wilson

Kansas State University is offering a new online platform — YOU@KSU — to help meet the well-being needs of students, faculty and staff.

"Certainly the past year has re-emphasized the importance of taking care of our well-being," said Thomas Lane, K-State vice president for student life and dean of students. "YOU@KSU provides an accessible and engaging way for our campus community to do just that."

YOU@KSU is a comprehensive 24/7 well-being platform to help students, faculty and staff in three core areas: succeed, thrive and matter. The platform has launched and is now available at you.k-state.edu. Students, faculty and staff can log in with their eID and password through the K-State single sign-on service.

"As part of our JED Campus Initiative, I’m excited for Student Life and Lafene Health Center to offer this holistic well-being resource that's individually tailored to one's needs and interests," Lane said. "I also want to extend a special thanks to K-State alum Greg Case and his wife, Mamie, whose generous donation helped bring YOU@KSU to K-State.”

YOU@KSU is personalized to the specific needs of each person. It's intuitive and informative, but maintains privacy and anonymity.

YOU@KSU helps people succeed in academics and career readiness, thrive in areas of personal wellness, and matter by finding motivation and involvement. In each of these three core areas, users can take Reality Check quizzes to assess their current strengths and challenges. Based on this secure information, the system serves up resources, wellness tips, modules and other helpful tools based on users' needs. People can save resources, commit to take action and set goals. Specific K-State resources will be added later this month.

YOU@KSU was developed by a team of technology specialists and clinical psychologists at Grit Digital Health. Access the platform and learn more at you.k-state.edu.
