Leadership Adventure Course at Rock Springs Ranch

Submitted by Callie Lehman

Kansas 4-H Youth Leadership Council is challenging their peers, including all clubs across Kansas, to Endorse the Course!

More than 75 years ago, in 1945, the land that is now part of Rock Springs Ranch was purchased to become the new home for Kansas 4-H camp, all because of 4-H youth. Youth raised the funds to pay off the mortgage before the first camping season even began!

Youth Council was inspired by what these Kansas 4-H members did 75 years ago and have an idea for making sure camp is extra special for the next 75 years. With their leadership, we are introducing a new Leadership Adventure Course at Rock Springs Ranch! This is a team obstacle course with high ropes, low elements and a dueling zip line that serve as leadership development tools.

All Kansas 4-H clubs are challenged to Endorse the Course by making a gift today! Gifts made between now and May 1st will ensure the Leadership Adventure Course is complete for campers this summer and for the next 75 years!

Kansas 4-H clubs have a goal to raise $25,000. For every $5,000 they raise, generous donors who believe in them will match every gift dollar for dollar, up to $25,000! That means their total would double and become $50,000!

To learn more or to make a gift in support of a 4-H club, visit kansas4hfoundation.org/ETCIf you have any questions about Endorse the Course, please call Lindsey Oakes at the Kansas 4-H Foundation at 785-775-0123 or email giving@kansas4hfoundation.org.
