Kansas 4-H - Call for Discovery Days 2023 Sessions

Submitted by Dona Ratliff

The opportunity to offer a session at Discovery Days for 2023 is open now. The event will be held on Kansas State University Campus, June 7 - 9. We are looking for two types of session offerings for youth to attend.

On Wednesday afternoon there will be two one hour introductory SPARK sessions. We would ask that you host your session twice that day. These are designed to be introductions to areas where youth can explore a wide range of topics. On Thursday, the sessions are designed to provide a more in-depth experience.

Half day Tracks on Thursday can be a collaboration of offerings all relating to one common academic area. For example, a tract session could be proposed around Careers in Health which might include sessions related to exploring Nutrition, Kinesiology, and/or a visit to Lafene Health Center. Half Day Tracts will be from 8:30 - 11:45 a.m, and 1:15 - 4:30 p.m. with a break for lunch. We would ask that you try to host the same session twice on Thursday, so that more youth have an opportunity to attend.

We ask that all proposals be submitted by February 10. If you have any questions, please contact Dona Ratliff, dsratlif@ksu.edu, 785-532-5800.

Please register your session here.
